Camping Gilfenklamm is located only 2 km from the Vipiteno exit of the A22 motorway at the entrance to the Racines Valleys in South Tyrol. Open for most of the year, it offers a convenient setting for mountain lovers who want to discover this area full of opportunities for an active and relaxing holiday. Nearby it is possible to take excursions at high altitude as well as in the valley to explore alpine pastures, castles, waterfalls and popular traditions.
During the summer, Vipiteno and the surrounding valleys can be reached on foot, by bicycle or by bus from the campsite. During the winter, skiers can enjoy themselves either in the facilities of Racines-Giovo or Monte Cavallo or in Val Ridanna, which is the perfect place for cross-country skiing and sledding. Not to be missed are the hunting, fishing and mining museums, the impressive castles of Wolfsthurn and Reifenstein, the splendid waterfalls of Stanghe, the delicious yoghurt days and during the Christmas season the marvellous markets of Vipiteno.
Spacious shaded pitches for tents and campers with electric connection served by heated sanitary facilities, always clean and functional, with hot water, hairdryer, towels, soap and toilet paper, nursery area with changing table, sinks for dishes and coin-operated laundry area with ironing area. The services are available for disabled people.
There is also a barbecue area, a fun games room for children where you can let your imagination run wild, an outdoor playground and the reception desk for information about excursions as well as to order fresh bread and croissants every day.
